THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BRAS AND BREAST HEALTH –
2012
In the quest to wear sexy Bras and Shapewear do Women jeopardize their health?
10 Key Points on the importance of looking after your assets!
1. Statistics show that up to 70% of women are wearing the wrong size bra, not only that, poor design can cause health and posture problems
2. Since time began, womens’s breasts have been shaped, flattened, highlighted, hidden, pointed and uplifted as fashion dictated. We are currently in the “age of the fuller bust” with breast implants and cleavages abounding the big screen, and magazines, and in the community as well. In fact women’s breast size have increased.
3. The Bounce Factor - The breast is made up of fat tissue and milk ducts attached to the chest wall by delicate ligaments (Coopers ligaments). These ligaments stretch over time and with age and results in sagging – commonly referred to as the “effect of gravity”. During exercise, the breast can bounce up to 8cm.
4. Osteopaths and Chiropractors cite fuller breasts are potential cause of back and neck problems as a result of the weight of the breast affecting posture. Plus when you bounce up and down during exercise, the weight of the breast is increased as a result of the acceleration and the deceleration involved, which also increases the “pull” on the back and the neck, causing stress on the shoulders where the straps dig in.
5. The common misconception is that small breasts do not need supporting when exercising. This is shown to be completely inaccurate.
6. Chiropractors will tell you that an ill-fitting bra with stretch straps and underwire can place tremdous pressure upon the shoulders and spine leading to shoulder and neck strain.
7. The larger the breasts the more potential suffering, as many Chiropractors and their women paitents will attest to.
8. It is important that women take care of thier breasts. Wearing ill-fitting garments that give little or no support and redirects the breast tissue (under the arms, down on the diaphram, over the top of the bra) will impede circulation and lymph drainage and will interfere directly with cellular health.
9. From early childhood we “learn” some of the awful postures just from the process of going to school and carrying big, heavy bags. Plus I doubt our bodies wern’t designed to sit down all day in a slumped posture in ill fitting chairs at flat desks and tables. It doesn’t get any better through high school, then work or university. We sit motionless either looking down at a flat surface, up at a distant blackboard, or straining ahead in front of a computer screen – plus now most students – and many adults work on laptops on a flat surface! Instead of lifting the screen up to eye level!! This is where a lot of the shoulder/neck postures can be ingrained. The effects of poor shoulder/neck posture are common, but not often understood. Women can suffer more than men for two obvious reasons. Breasts! The larger the breast, the more potential suffering, as many chiropractors and their women patients can attest.
- 2. The weight of the breast –
A to B cup 150 to 200 grams each breast
B – D cup 600 grams
Pregnancy can increase this weight by 600 grams
Breast Feeding can increase the weight by 800 grams
It isn’t just an individual’s breast size that changes. In general, breast size has been increasing over time. It is hard to believe, but it is estimated that the average breast size has increased one to two cup sizes, in the last 70 years. Today the average bra size is 14C.

WHAT LADIES ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR BRA
I purchased some Beauty Bras about 12 months ago to give them a try. My thoughts were boy they are a bit expensive but I’ll give them a go. I recently had to resort to my old bras and was absolutely flabbergasted at the difference between having yourself supported instead of having something set on the front of you.
So now I can really appreciate the benefits that I get from the Beauty Bra.

Beauty Bra
A wonderful invention! A shame I had to wait until a mature age before I discovered this marvelous bra. So Comfortable! Great Support! No pull on the shoulders! Fits perfectly due to Tilly’s expert fitting. It is easy to forget I am wearing a bra. (As I grow older, I will probably need a front opening adjustment added)
The expense of purchasing this bra warranted by the long-wearing durability over and above other bras of “better Quality” I have worn over the years. Thank you Tilly, for telling me about this product. I am so thankful I believed what you said about it.
I have worn the Beauty Bra for the past 4 Years. They provide excellent support without the inclusion of irritating, uncomfortable wires. They may not be the most sexy underwear around (although by husband likes the see through lace) but the comfort and shape they provide surpasses that of any other bras. Not only that but if washed and cared for correctly they far outlasts any other bras on the market.
The first two bras I purchased wore out after 4 years which provide excellent value for money.

BRAS FOR THE WOMAN WITH ONE!
I purchased my bras three months ago. I have a Prosthesis, so I was anxious to find out if it would stay in place without the usual pocket normally required. I am very pleased to report that the Prosthesis stays in place perfectly provided you place it correctly and follow the fitting instructions.
The Bras itself is unique on its own and ever so comfortable to wear. No more sore shoulders, sagging ‘Boobs’ and protruding bones! There is very little movement while being active and that gives me extra confidence while I am wearing this wonderful bra.
I can recommend anyone who has a Prosthesis to buy the Beauty Bras immediately to give you that extra confidence, support and reliability.
Yours sincerely,
Pauline Chadwick
